 | UPS Replacement 07/22/06, Services Unavailable On July 22, 2006, I&IT and Facilities will be replacing the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) that provides backup power to the computing center in Building 98. The upgrade, expected to last from 8:00 a.m. until approximately 8:00 p.m., will cause all centralized IT services to be unavailable. Services that will not be functioning will include electronic mail, all of the university's web pages, Blackboard, BroncoDirect and BroncoData. Email sent to csupomona.edu addresses during the outage will be stored and delivered once email returns. I&IT is replacing the UPS because the current backup "mini power plant" is old and unreliable.More... |
