![]() | Pan African Graduation Celebration Dear Cal Poly Pomona student, You’re cordially invited to participate in the 14th Annual Pan African Graduation Celebration at Cal Poly Pomona that will take place on Saturday, June 2, 2007. This annual event celebrates students' personal success and academic achievements in the spirit and traditions of our culture. The ceremony is open to all graduating students (undergraduate and graduate) and it allows graduates the opportunity to publicly thank those who have helped them throughout their educational careers. Students who have participated in past Pan African Graduation Celebrations have said that it has been one of the most memorable experiences they’ve had at Cal Poly Pomona. If you would like to participate in this event, please complete the Pan African Graduation Celebration application attached to this email or you may pick one up at the African American Student Center in Building. 95 (across from the Marketplace and the Career Center). You need to complete and return this application by April 2, 2007. However, the sooner you turn it in, the better the planning committee will be able to plan to make this event a memorable one for you and your family. In order to provide you with all the information you may need to decide whether you would like to participate in the ceremony, I have compiled a Frequently Asked Questions List. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at ldgilford@csupomona. edu, 909.869.5007 or in person.
