Matthew Myers Memorial 5k Run/Walk

A Special Message to all Cal Poly Pomona Students:

All Cal Poly Pomona students are invited to participate in a unique campus event. Opportunities are available to volunteer or participate in the inaugural Matthew Myers Memorial 5k Run/Walk, scheduled for Saturday, October 14 at 8 a.m. Last October, tragedy struck the university community when a car accident fatally injured the junior communications major while he was walking across Kellogg Drive.

Proceeds raised by the event will perpetually fund an endowed scholarship in his name. The 5K course will traverse the campus, and is accessible to wheelchairs. Roads along the course will be closed to street traffic. Water will be provided along the route, and participants who pre-register are guaranteed a t-shirt.

Participants and volunteers are needed. The cost to participate is $15 for any student with a school ID who pre-registers and $25 for others.
