Invitation to Attend the Human Resources Games

Dear MHR Majors,

A big event for our major is coming up, HRGames! The HRGames is an annual academic event designed to foster friendly competition among MHR students from different University's throughout California.

The event provides a fun way to prepare students for careers within Human Resources along with preparing them for the Professionals in Human Resource (PHR) Certification Exam. The competition uses a "Jeopardy" style format and teams from each school compete over several rounds to reach the finals.

This year Cal Poly and our PIHRA Student Chapter are holding the event at The Collins School of Hospitality Management.

The event begins on Friday at 4:00 P.M. with guest speakers from Lowes and Target. There will be a Mexican-style dinner served at 5:30PM for a $7.00 donation.

Saturday the competition starts at 9:00AM and concludes with the final round and awards ceremony at 4:00PM. A deli-style lunch will be served around 12:00PM for a $5.00 donation.

This is a great opportunity to network with industry professionals and businesses that will be at the games!

We welcome everybody, drop by for a minute or stay for the day. Watching the competition doesn't cost anything and it's a great way to show your pride in Cal Poly Pomona and the MHR program!
