![]() | HR Professional Development Program ABBOTT HUMAN RESOURCES PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (HRPDP) Program Description Abbotts’ Human Resources Professional Development Program (HRPDP) http://www.abbott.com prepares college graduates with majors in Human Resources for careers within Abbott HR. Each HRPDP member spends two years in the program (review description below), during which time three to four project/work assignments will be completed. The Abbott HRPDP program has two tracks, a functional HRPDP within Learning and Development or Talent Acquisition and a business HR(BHR) HRPDP track. The goal of the program is to identify and develop Abbott’s future HR professionals and managers. Functional HRPDP assignments will be within Learning and Development or Talent Acquisition and designed to give the HRPDP participant the opportunity to complete a variety of projects, including a special project assignment within each function. These assignments may also be at an off-site division domestically or internationally. The BHR HRPDP participants will complete three to four assignments including: division work, international and a special project assignment. All assignments will be carried out in a variety of work environments such as: corporate and division headquarters, plants and other operating environments. Each PDP participant may have an international assignment and must be willing to be mobile based on the location of the different rotations. A member of the HR Executive Committee, comprised of the senior HR Vice President’s, is assigned to each HRPDP to be mentor for them while on the Program. The rotation assignments may be at any Abbott location for example: Abbott Park, Illinois (a Northern suburb of Chicago), Columbus, Ohio; Barceloneta, Puerto Rico; Redwood City, California; Alameda, California; Wiesbaden, Germany; Ludwigshafen, Germany; Delkenheim, Germany. Program Requirements: Functional HRPDP Program (Learning and Development or Talent Acquisition focus) · Graduating undergraduate or Master students (with 0-1 years work experience) o Human Resource major with emphasis/interest in Learning and Development or Talent Acquisition BHR HRPDP Program · Graduating graduate students (with 1-3 years of HR experience) o Human Resource Masters or MBA with HR emphasis o HR work experience required Joint Requirements: · Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher o Transcripts (unofficial) are required to interview · Exceptionally demonstrated interpersonal skills (communication, adaptability, initiative, teamwork) · Demonstrated professional skills (project management, problem-solving, assessment and diagnosis and customer service) · Proven leadership skills (drive for results, business knowledge, makes difficult decisions) · Excellent academic record/performance Please send your resumes daniel.neuwirth@abbo tt.com.
