Grand theft avocado

Five people were taken in for processing on Friday around 3 p.m. in suspicion of stealing $150 to $200 of oranges and avocados from the trees located on Mansion Lane behind building one.

Some of the suspects were assumed to be Cal Poly students.
Suspects allegedly stuffed the fruit into their backpacks and their car's trunk when a grounds worker was said to witness the crime and contacted the University Police.
