Students who attend suburban schools like Cal Poly have higher graduation rates than those in urban cities, according to recent studies.

Organizations that serve as activists for education, such as America's Promise Alliance, indicate that nearly 50 percent of ninth-graders are unlikely to graduate in the later years if attending a high school in an urban area, according to an article in USA Today.
