![]() | Graduate Writing Test - Parking and Events A Special Message to the Cal Poly Pomona Communities: The university has a full slate of events planned for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 14 and 15, which will affect campus roadways and parking. Parking & Transportation Services and University Police personnel will be on campus each day to assist guests with directions to their respective event. If you are planning to be on campus this weekend, you are strongly encouraged to arrive early. The two main events that will require road and parking lot closures are the Matthew Myers 5K Memorial Run/Walk and Bamboozle Left. The Matthew Myers Memorial 5K is an inaugural event to honor a student whose life was cut short by a traffic accident. The run/walk takes place Saturday morning, Oct. 14, and will require the closure of Ag Valley Road, Citrus Lane, Eucalyptus Drive, Oak Lane, Red Gum Lane and portions of University Drive from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Those participating in the event will be directed to park in Lot F10. For more information, link to http://www.mattsrun.com/ The Testing Center will be administering the Graduate Writing Test to more than 2,400 students also on Oct. 14. Students registered for the 8 a.m. test will be directed to park in Parking Lot C. All other students registered for the GWT (10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.) will be directed to park in Lot J. Bamboozle Left, a two-day music festival on the university's athletic field, will require the closure of Lot Q from Oct. 11 through Oct. 16. An audience of 10,000 people is expected each day of the festival. The north section of Lot Q will be available for Residential Suite occupants only. The southern portion of Lot Q will be closed on the evening of Oct. 11. Any vehicles still in place will be moved to the north side of the lot. On Oct. 14 and 15, lots G, N and P will be open only to Bamboozle staff and crew with special permits. That weekend lots A, B, D, E, F, G, K and M will be primarily for Bamboozle Left guests. Overflow Lot 1 will also be available near the American Red Cross. Parking is $10 for vehicles not displaying a valid CPP parking permit. Faculty and staff visiting the campus those days will be directed to Lot J. Also Oct. 14, about 1,000 people are expected to attend an Indian Student Association cultural event in the Bronco Student Center. Those guests will be directed to park in Lot D starting at 6 p.m. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology will host an event in the University Theatre on Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. More than 300 people are expected to participant in this event. Those attending this event will be directed to park in Lot C. Kellogg House Pomona will be hosting a wedding each day that weekend as well as a dinner party. There is a CSET workshop, scheduled for Saturday (8:30 a.m.), in Building 3, room 215. Students who plan on attending should be prepared to park in lots C and D.
