![]() | THE 411: CPP PUTS THE ‘FUN’ IN FUNDING Cal Poly Pomona wants to see you succeed! Sometimes funding retreats, conferences, or programs can seem impossible, but there are lots of resources on campus that can help you out. Associated Student Incorporated (ASI) ASI can fund individuals and groups for various activities that benefit the student body. This is a great way to partner with ASI and get funding at the same time. For more information visit http://www.asi.csupomona.ed u/bsc/businessservices.asp . Administrative Fund This sponsorship fund is intended to support Cal Poly Pomona outreach programs and student development activities including conference attendance, training, and workshops. Funds will be allocated to individual students and officially recognized Cal Poly Pomona clubs/organizations. An individual or group may be funded once per fiscal year. Awards are available up to $1,000. A committee of staff, administrators and students will assess each request and allocate funds once per quarter (excluding summer quarter). You can find an application and more information at http://www.dsa.csupomona.ed u/vicepresident/adminfund/. Club Councils Annually each club council receives money to be distributed to their respective clubs. These funds are used to progress each club or organization. Even if you’re not in a club or organization you may be able to partner with them. For more information contact your club council. President’s Special Travel Fund President J. Michael Ortiz has announced the continuation of a program established in 1988 to provide travel support for students to attend professional meetings, to make original presentations based on creative or scholarly work they have done as Cal Poly Pomona students. In 2005-2006, this fund will provide $10,000 to support student travel. Guidelines and applications are available at http://academic.csupomona.e du/research/studentResearch/default.asp. These are just a few of the places where you can get funding for your club or organization or even yourself. Be sure to check out all the opportunities the campus has to help you fund your activities. |
