![]() | Cal Poly Pomona Educational Objectives Faculty, Students and Staff, As you know, the Cal Poly Pomona WASC Steering Committee has been busy preparing the campus WASC Proposal. Submission of the proposal is the first stage of what is now a multi-year process. A successful WASC proposal includes a core component whereby the University provides evidence that it is meeting its Educational Objectives. This in turn requires that the University have clearly stated Educational Objectives. The Draft Cal Poly Pomona Educational Objectives list is now available for comment. Just click on the following link (http://www.csupomona.edu/%7Ewasc/documents.shtml), then click on the link under “Other Documents”. The WASC Steering Committee is interested in your comments on the list. Please send your comments/suggestions to the following email address by Friday, April 14: wascee@csupomona.edu Your comments will go directly to the Educational Effectiveness committee. The committee will then provide a revised list to the WASC Steering Committee for inclusion in the Cal Poly WASC proposal due in May 2006. The revised list will also be posted on the WASC web site. Allow me to reemphasize that the current list is a draft. The draft document is meant to serve as a starting point for discussion/input/feedback. Although the goal is to include the Educational Objectives as part of the Cal Poly Pomona WASC proposal, the University will continue to evaluate its Educational Objectives. Regards, Francis X.
