New Login Protocol for BroncoDirect

On Wednesday, March 1, 2006, logging into BroncoDirect with a user’s BroncoNumber will be replaced with access via their BroncoName. This means the nine-digit, identification number on a student, faculty or staff BroncoCard will no longer work to gain entry to BroncoDirect.

The login will be by a user’s BroncoName. This is the part of your Cal Poly Pomona email address in front of the @csupomona.edu. For example, in the fictional email address billybronco@csupomon a.edu, the BroncoName is billybronco. The BroncoName and BroncoPassword is the gateway into campus email and other services such as Blackboard and WebCT. The shift in BroncoDirect is another step toward a single sign-on capability.
