![]() | For Graduates: Make sure you’re graduating It sounds logical but you’d be surprised how many people think they’re graduating but really aren’t. If you have any questions make sure you speak with your evaluator in the Registrar’s Office. Purchase your cap and gown Caps and gowns can be purchased through commencement at the Technical Services counter at the Bronco Bookstore. Double check what time you walk and when to be there Not everyone walks at the same time. Look up the schedule to see what time your college holds commencement. Invite your family and friends It’s a big deal. You’ve spent years waiting for this so make sure to invite all your family and friends. Tickets are not need but will be a first come, first serve seating arrangement. Check out the information below for guests. Get your diploma Your diploma will be mailed to you around August 4, 2006 so make sure your mailing information is correct. To change your address on-line, please visit http://www.csupomona.edu/~broncodirect/BroncoDirect_Persona lPortfolio.html. Diplomas will not be available for pick-up on campus unless prior arrangements have been made. For Guests: Commencement Parking Guests are encouraged to park in the C, D, F, and J lots. Handicapped parking is available along Olive Lane, near the Quad. Parking is free during commencement exercises. University Drive will be closed between Red Gum and the Student Health Center during the following times: Friday, June 10, 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm Saturday, June 11, 7:30 am to noon Sunday, June 12, 8:30 pm to 1:00 pm Getting to the Commencement Site The Quad Area venue used for all ceremonies is best accessed via Olive Lane using the walk way between Building 6 and Building 94. Simply follow the road up beside the Library. Be advised the walk to the Quad is slightly uphill. If it is more convenient to drop-off elderly guests or those with limited mobility, please notify the parking officer at the parking gate near the palm trees. She or he will let you through to drop-off your guests and then go park the car. However, in order to keep the area safe there will be no vehicular traffic past that gate after the ceremonies. The information above has been taken from the Cal Poly Pomona Commencement Web site. Check the Web site for more detailed information and have a happy and safe commencement season. Congratulations to the Class of 2006! |
