![]() | The Round Earth Society We have a brand new club at Cal Poly Pomona called The Round Earth Society. It is a club for atheists, agnostics, and any other nonbelievers. We're here to bring nonbelievers together and provide a place for them to discuss issues that are important to them. We have meetings every Tuesday at 12 noon in building 1 room 103. Our first meeting will be this coming Tuesday, Jan. 11th and we'll have free pizza for everyone who shows up. As a club, we also attend secular lectures at Cal Tech in Pasadena and at the Center For Inquiry-West in Hollywood. For more info, check out our website at www.roundearth.org. If you want to become a member, it costs only $10 and you get a free Darwin fish and discounts on most of the lectures that we attend as well as discounts on subscriptions to Scientific American, Free Inquiry, Skeptic Magazine, and Freethought Today. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at questions@roundearth .org. |

| GCP.com Admin | I like the nice variation of posters they got on campus, much better then the usual crap. Amoung my favorites is "Dare to think for yourself." Sure they're all been said before, but the variety gives you something to read every new bulletin board. I'd join the club but I'm really not a clubber, and IGE provides as much (or as little) of an outlet for my views as I want to give. I think I'll have to use that "dare to think for yourself" line the next time someone doesn't think for themselves on any religious/social/political issue... party on. Let the good times roll. |
