| Cal Poly Guru | Thoen, T (ETT101L) Very patient man that knows when students are confused. The entire course is extremely basic so anybody will pass the course. Sometimes his teaching is a bit too general (he misses steps), but it's no big deal because he reteaches the same thing on the next class meeting. 3 tests (i think) that were multiple choice and daily quizzes (10 fill-in-the-blank questions) Recommended for ETT courses

![]() | I will agree that Thoen is a good teacher. He, as I mentioned in talking about Prof. Russell, has a tremendous amount of industry and real-world experience, and definatly brings it into the classroom. I'm not sure what else he has taught, but I had his ETE 103 class - AC Circuits, the first quarter that he taught at Cal Poly, and he did a very good job. He is more concerned that the students understand the material than other professors (Dr. McCurdy for one). I as well, Recommend Prof. Thoen for any classes that he teaches.
