| Active Member | Kim, Hoon (Sta 120) Kim is good for Sta 120, I'm taking him right now, he's good. Knows a lot, and doesn't mind answering questions. He has a packet of notes, which is everything he shows on the overheads... there's quizzes and two midterms... you get to have a notecard for each quiz/midterm, so for the final you can have all of them, like 7, or something like that (like, i had a quiz today and had 2 notecards), so you pretty much just write the formulas on the notecards. You hardly have to study, because he explains the material really well during lecture. It could get boring, but endure it and you should do ok. We also have to do like 2 surveys (we already did one for 50 students, and the next is for like 100), but I don't know if it's just cuz i'm taking his honors section... But, shouldn't be bad Good luck!!! |

Unlike other math instructors, you can take STA120 with professor Kim with no knowledge on statistics. Quite easy to follow in his class. Does not take attendance everyday. Only certain days and your attendance is part of the grades. Extra credit assignments are provided for each homework set, which is turned in bi-weekly. Will be taking the first quiz soon that consist of 2 questions only. 3"x5" note cards are allowed. The only cons for his course is: MWF schedule.
