![]() | Entrepreneurship - Almaraz, Jeanne Professor: Dr. Jeanna Almaraz Course: MHR 320 - Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management Textbook: Essentials of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management 4th Edition by Thomas W. Zimmerer & Norman M. Scarborough The course itself has a lot to offer. You form a group with 4 to 5 other students in class that have a similar interest in a small business (e.g. boutique, nightclub, sports bar, storage company, and etc.). Your group is assigned to do research on the industry, location, competitors, competitive advantage, marketing plan, and etc. There is 3 quiz (exams) and no finals. Your group presentation of the business idea is the final assignment. Attendance is taken and is not taken lightly. Tardiness also affects your grade. The quizzes are not too difficult. It is a lot of work. Great class. |

| Dr. Almarez is one of the best professor I had in MHR. Each assignments relate to the course and the topics of the reading. You actually learn alot from her lectures and class discussions. I had MHR 320 and 324 and wished she would offer other courses. The books that we used were perfect choices for a business class. The grade I received was A in both MHR class. The work takes some time and research but if you are a business major, you'll enjoy it as much as I did. |
