Cortina, T. (English)

Instructor: Cortina
English 104

Professor Cortina teaches afternoon course because he teaches in high school during the daytime.
There were about 6-7 essays from the textbook and printouts that he passed out in class.
The course wasn't tough and easy to go through. Gave us enough time for each essay. If you attempt in all your essays, it is a guarantee pass in the course.

I did hear from other colleagues that Professor Cortina doesn't prepare you for the next level in english so if you want to advance in your essay writing, you should take another professor.
If you easy-sail through english 104, I recommend Professor Cortina.

i had him for ENG 105 Summer of 2003, and it was a kick back class. I guess it helped that i knew how 2 write essays :hat:, but overall he seemed like a slack off teacher. He's real straight4ward and will accept late hw's... if your a girl, and your hot, then the "hotness" level determines how late u can turn in the hw :lol

he graded pretty fair... I got a B ... i wanted an A-

I had him for ENG104 in the fall of 2004. Wonderful professor. Great class. He even fed us snacks one day! I felt like he adequately prepared me for subsequent classes. The introduction I got to the library was excellent. The "Keys for Writers" book required for the class has been a great reference.

I came to college with a very particular view of intellectualism and academia. Professor Cortinas class effectively showed me that my perspective was off.

those are 2 reasons why not to take a teacher...
