Are You Involved in a Campus Club/Organization?
I realized not all can participate in a campus club due to their time schedule. It is hard enough to juggle their part/full time job, let alone attend school and study.
But if you do find yourself having vacant hours, especially during the student hours, check out a club or two and find something that might peak your interest and help you on your future career.
Most clubs on campus desire to have more students to check out their club and join. The more, the better. Recently, I checked a business club during the student hour. To my surprise, the number of students that showed up on the 1st (or 2nd) meeting was few. I can understand though. The cabinet members did not put much effort into publicity. Even their website is outdated; a single .gif image informing visitors of their upcoming updates.
Well, the point I'm trying to make is, find a club or two that can add a nice touch to your resume and also teach you leadership skills and networking skills. Don't take this simple skills that you learn in campus clubs for granted. They will surely help you in the long-run. Good luck!
