![]() | sounds like we just got too excited down the stretch, but a great learning experience. they will be in these kind of games again and better to have the experience now rather than a key league game where we drop it when it counts. cook had a monster game as did gordon. both certain all conference picks save injuries. this is no slouch DI program like riverside. broncos have a LOT to be proud of. bring it, USC. see you saturday at galen. |

![]() | That was a nice comeback by the team in the second half. At least this ending hapen in the exhbition game not during league. I agree with Cook and Gordon having a good game. I will also like to include Daniels and Booker for having a good game. The only negative for the game 29 turnovers. |

![]() | agreed. baby shaq is much more game ready since he has lost weight but remains an inisde presence. booker is like gordon, game ready from the git-go. no redshirt needed here...he is flat ready. i like this team a lot. the other new guy, pulido, has not shown much in two games but obviously coach k. sees stuff we don't. i prefer billy. xioxue, glad to see you actually said something nice about hervey. i agree. both he and paul called a very fine game. |

Also this team played with alot of heart tonight. Coming back from 20 in the second half and still have a chance to win shows that. Alot of teams would mailled it in and called it a night. | |

![]() | NOT true. How come high turnover dont reflect the skills of the team or a player?? Somewhere along the line, someone is not up to par with the big boys therefore the embarrassing amount of turnovers. Don't know the NCAA average but don't you think 29 is a bit high for college basketball team? |

![]() | UCLA whoop us bad on Thursday, but they still had 24 turnovers in the game. Does this mean UCLA a bad team, but it does mean they were careless with the ball. Many of the turnovers that occur early in the season is timing turnovers. The Broncos do need to cut down on the turnovers, but its early and they still have almost a week to fix the problem before the SC game. |

![]() | well put, lakdod...UCLA was the second best college team in the nation last year and ranked in the top five this year with a lineup that soon will populate the NBA. so then why did the bruins turn the ball over 24 times? perhaps our defense had something to do with that? or maybe a lot to do with it? LMU by the way had 19 turnovers, still quite a few. takes a while to work out the kinks in the early season. |

![]() | An overall reply to a host of comments... Yes, the Broncos had alot of turnovers, but to say that they are a bad team is a bad statement. Those turnovers can be fixed as they continue to play more games. Luis has done more than what you think for this team. He is a good player and is the perfect fit for the Broncos as a PG. Billy is a good player, but with the addition of Pulido will only help Billy out as Billy will have less pressure on him this year to handle the ball. Pulido will take the pressure off many Broncos this year and bring the ball up the court when other teams are pressing them and will handle the ball with confidence. Let's please not jump on another Broncos back this year like you did Malone's last year. We should not be bashing the student-athletes, but be encouraging them. Talking about the coach is another thing, but let's leave the student-athletes out of it. Speaking of player bashing, Im surprised "xiaxue" didn't jump on Cooks back after shooting 2-15 against UCLA! I don't recall Malone shooting 2-15 from the field last year in any game so Im assuming jumping on Malone last year might have been a personal issue perhaps? Please if you have a personal issue with someone, leave it out. Although I am surprised you had something nice to say about Malone for once. Overall, the Broncos are ahead of schedule this year and are setting themselves up to be ready for the season opener up in Seattle. -Hall |

![]() | you seem to act as if we are discussing the ultra sensitive and fragile psyches of pee wee footballers rather than college men, hall, yet you have no problem trolling over on the trojan boards and predicting how USC will "struggle" against our team apparently based on some magical insights you have. all i said was that pulido had not shown much in his first two outings, and his stats versus minutes played bear this out. he has time to show his game and we presume he has one yet unseen. discussing the merits of a player surely is fair game as long as it doesn't get vicious or personal as you might notice on any sports board. show some class when you go trolling if you represent cal poly pomona. give the trojan program the respect it deserves as our coaches and team surely do. we are guests in their house saturday. |

![]() | Broncos close to four in final minute versus Troy but... ...couldn't quite get over the hump. considering that we shot only 29.8 per cent from the field and 25 per cent from distance this is an amazing testiment to the grit and hustle of the broncos. you guys showed a lot today, and kudos everywhere. we almost filled an entire section of fans, and from the chants you might have thought this was a cal poly home game while the cardinal and gold majority remained silent. the high points: 1. team defense. ball hawking everywhere. larry gordon had yet another monster game with 8 points, 7 boards and two steals. kevin neveau was unafraid among the trees and hauled down six boards among a much bigger front line of troy. 2. bill forelli perhaps had his best game as a bronco, coming off the bench and shooting three of four and pitching in seven points in limited playing time. 3. the coaching. coach k. clearly seemed to outcoach tim floyd at several key points in the game including his substitution patterns and clock management. 4. neon deon. although prone to taking a few wild shots while trying to create some offense he led all scorers on either team with 17 points and was deadly from the line. the low points: 1. sadly, billy's shot was not dropping. while he was steady as always he only hit 2 of 8. we needed some of his treys to fall but they rimmed out. 2. donelle could not repeat his awesome performance over in westwood. he never was a factor in this one. 3. the no shows. baby shaq did not dress, nor did melvyn, and rashad remains awaiting ncaa clearance. we get these guys back, look out. pulido had five points in 29 minutes if you call that a great game, hall. the poly crowd continually yelled at him to stop dribbling and to pass the ball. i agree with your prediction, lakdod. 20, maybe 21 wins this year assuming everyone is back. these guys showed something today as they did against loyola. now they should be ready for the games to count. |
