Hopefully no one would have to make another game winning shot until the tournament. The teams need to win games by more than 6 points because this team is driving me crazy with all of these close game at the end.

Do you guys know if Helms is going to do a brodcast from Chico and Stanislaus this week. I do not remember last year them doing a brodcast for this road trip. Hopefully they do a brodcast via the internet because if the don't. We can only follow one game live which will be the Chico game via Chico athletic website.

this is a great way for our bronco fans to get to know the team better!

with a long homestand coming up i hope this helps generate some hype for this cinderella story.

hard to choose on this poll. jboyd is as cool as an iceman with a pick, deion as flashy as a las vegas showgirl, larry is more energizing than the bunny, and then there is little billy who can hit from downtown or now drive the lane.

best i know turlock is just a dark hole up by modesto, former home of scott and lacy peterson. now scott has a different address, but at least he's not selling fertilizer anymore.

you might be right about chico tho. there is a phone number at cal state bakersfield that gives all the conference scores for men and women i heard about. will try to post that vine.

hey everybody, you can find out tonight's scores by calling the conference hotline at 661-654-3071. they announce both the mens and womens games on that number. the team they play tonight is hot too. i think they have won five or six in a row and will be trouble.

thanks, i got the score from that hotline number and broncos won easily by 13 points. this was one time we didn't need some dude to step up at the last minute. am not surprised that the king of clutch, mr. j-31 boyd, is leading this poll. what is surprising is that billy the kid hofman is tied with neon deon for number two with larry only fourth. must be some big billy fans out there!

i was surprised to see billy get so many votes but the conference stats bear out the wisdom of the voters. here's why:

Cook is in the top eleven in the league in six different categories, including third in steals, and also a leader in scoring, assists, free throw percentage, field goal percentage and assist/turnover ratio.

Boyd leads the nation and conference in 3 point shooting, is second in most treys made, and sixth in field goal percentage.

Hofman is fourth in assists and assist/turnover ratio and ninth in steals.

Gordon, still not a starter, is sixth in defensive rebounds and eleven in total rebounds in spite of his limited minutes.

The other usual starters, Malone, Daniels and Neveau, are not listed and helps to explain their lack of support.

in terms of cool in the clutch Boyd is best.

in terms of overall best player (all phases of game) i would say Cook.

the rest of the team is way, way back.

That's a good assessment, Dogg.

Last year it was a horse race between Bonds and Sybesma, with Malone edging out both Cook and Boyd for a distant third. Sybesma was the go-to clutch guy.

This year it figured that Hervey would step up and lead this team but it never happened even one time. Instead, his numbers have retreated by 50 points in field goal and free throw shooting and a WHOPPING 123 POINTS (.423 to .300) in long distance shooting while both Boyd and Cook have steadily improved.

No wonder he only has one vote while the other guys are running away with it.

this poll has a non starter in larry gordon tied for second in the voting with the national leader in distance shooting. obviously bronco fans can see how awesome this freshman is.

kinda sad to see a four year starter getting only one vote out of about eighty cast. maybe it will motivate him to step up when we need him the most.

last year it was jboyd hitting clutch free throws to beat san bern in the final minute. that game is still on our campus website and can be viewed like a TV broadcast.

typically we blow UCSD out. but now it's payback time since they beat us in la jolla.

and battle of the bands, too. the tritons are sending about 100 people or more to this game. should be fun.
