![]() | Two of my grades are up as of today and I'm waiting for the other two. One of the grade showed up on broncodirect last Friday and only because the professor posted up early. Hope you all did well. |

![]() | I saw my grades this morning and I was a bit disappointed. I got a D+ in one of my core class (EWS), is it still a passing grade?I needed to pass this class in order to register and take the next level class, basically a preliminary class or prerequisite whatever you wanna call it. |

Check the next course you want to take, because the requirement might be a C in the prereq. Ie, even thought a D- is a passing grade, you need a C or better in math 115 to take 116.

I don't think a D+ is a passing grade. You will have to take it over again.

![]() | Per http://www.csupomona.edu/~mhr/advising/faq.html This is only for MHR, but just confirmation that a having less than a C is not necessarily failing. Do I need to get a C or better for each core class, whether or not it is a prerequisite? No. The MHR department allows any passing grade for any prerequisite to the courses it offers so long as these courses are taken at Cal Poly. Students may have problems transferring junior college courses where they received less than a C grade. Students must have a cumulative gpa of "C" in all core courses including Group A and Group B courses. Students whose gpa falls below these standards will be informed that they are on academic probation, which involves an advising contract to meet with an MHR faculty advisor regularly to review progress |

According to the 2005-2007 Catalog, an RD stands for Report Delayed. The units attempted for the class are not included in your GPA. Information about this can be found on pages 78 and 79. It says that the Registrar's Office can only assign this type of grade. The grade shall be replaced by a substantive grading symbol as soon as you submit a Grade Change Form. Ask the registrar's office for more clarification. They should point you in the right direction.

rd means that your professor did not turn in the grade in time...when it is recieved, the registrar will change it for you... if you go there, they will just tell you to wait for ur prof to hand it the grade. and when you leave, they will laugh at you for coming to campus to ask a silly question
