![]() | Went to visit CPP on the weekend - GHOSTOWN? well i just went to Cal poly Pomona like this weekend and man was it a ghost town there. I barely didn't seen anyone there. THe dinining halls, the campus, nada. I didn't check the dorms(not sure if we're allowed to see in there) but i assume it's deserted as well. IS there any campus life at all? or did i just go at the wrong time? what happens on the weekends? and btw, what are/is the new dorm? which one is the best(best as in, sociable but not too loud/party, clean environment, some party events but not obssesive) |

Even if you visit the dorms or suites, those places are almost dead, lots of people go home for the weekend or go to work. Oh yeah, I believe that you still need to be a resident or a student in order to get into the oncampus suites (they have a lottery for them last quarter). So incoming freshmans or transfers are out of luck. |

![]() | no. this is the only school i got into, sad, i know. having a D during junior year pretty much labeled me as DUMB. i might as well go to city then and transfer. but the thing is, i don't know where to transfer. I mean, for architect. What schools is REALLY REALLY good for architect in CA? capoly's right? SLO AND POMONA, correct? but SLO has too many white folks, no diversity which makes Pomona a perfect choice. |

![]() | not a common major arch is a pretty technical major, which means many CSUs don't have this. if you have a D on your transcript you have a lot of proving yourself to do at a major university level before you can start thinking about cal or even irvine. i know ppl who did not get into cal with 3.9 GPAs. i would be delighted to be at pomona, which is ranked second or third among the 23 campuses in the system. as for weekends, go check out ANY CSU. it's not about pomona. that's the way things are anywhere. students go home or out of town to party when they can. school is a lot of work.
