I want to transfer to SLO but..

Hi everyone. I REALLY want to transfer to Cal Poly SLO for a business major. Umm, possibly Business Administration B.S. Concentration in Management and later possibly my Masters. So is SLO business program any good? I really need help deciding. THANKS.

Yes, SLO's business program is quite good and rather selective. Where are you transferring from and what are your grades like?

I'm transferring from Skyline College in San Bruno. I have a 3.5 GPA.

I believe the above info is for MBA though. Nonetheless, the college of business should be top-notch at SLO. You should consider applying and find out.

The avg. of those selected to transfer into business was 3.38. You're above the norm, so you should have a pretty good shot at getting in. BTW, I'm also from the bay area(belmont). Any other questions, just ask.

I just transfered to slo as a business administration major with a concentration in accounting. Personally I've found that the teachers aren't all that great and they expect a lot more from you than at community college. I don't know how it rates compared to other schools though... Slo is a great town. except for way too many college students...
oh yeah, and another great thing about the business college is it's the closest from the where most people live, so you don't have to haul your butt up hills.

Congrats anna211705. State universities being more challenging compared to a community college is a given. Is SLO really crowded? You should see Pomona. You'll find yourself parking your car near the end of the earth.
