I wanna Know!!!

ok.. well...hmm. i joined this site to ask some people about addmissions to see if i have a chance at either pomona or luis obispo...Well last night when i was adding up my GPAs from my previous semesters in high school i realized that evfen if i had a 4.0 for the last three semesters of my high school career the highest that my GPA will ever b is 3.1 ( i know it's low...i only realized the importance of school when i was in my freshmen year...I'm a late bloomer)...and according to the San Luis website it says that the newest average of incoming freshmens is 3.77..hmm

DO I HAVE A CHANCE? ..is it even possible for me to go to pomona or SLO? >sigh<...I'm also considering if i should just transfer because the transfer GPA is only 3.2..but I feel going to PCC will be so embarrassing esp. since I'm asian * all the parental pressure and friends who r going to berkeley and USC!!!!*...WHY ME??????

P.S....additional info-> i have a 3.12 in my last semester, I am in one academic team, I don't have volunteer hours yet but I have a job, SAT score ( I'm one of those people that have to take the new ones) is 1650..which is about 1100 on the old one..and my essay score is 9 out of 12

,Oh and I go to one of the best high schools in california ( one of the top 3), umm I 'm not taking AP courses or honors but I'm taking no slacker classes ( seven classes)

Just tell me if i have a chance!!!!!!! Ur reply will b greatly appreciated!!!!

Is your HS in Cal Poly Pomona's "Tier" (Ask your High School Counselor, they will know exactly what that means...)

If you are in our tier, you are FINE. If not, you have to compete with some people with really high GPA;s. But I cannot stress enough, talk to a Academic Counselor, whether at your school, or CPP's. Or check out http://www.csupomona.edu/~admissions
