The Village

Hi, does anyone know when the Village Apts lets you know if you won the lottery and will get to stay at the apartments. They said they would mail out Housing Agreements by mid-May, but so far I haven’t received anything and I’m a little worried because the only housing I applied for was the Village and I don’t have any other back up. Did anyone apply and already know they are in? Thanks!

They did the lottery drawings 2 weeks ago and they just sent out the notifications last week so they should be coming this week. I wouldn't worried about not getting in, rumors have it that there's plenty of space left, even single rooms. But there are also rumors of them raising the prices.

My roommates and I are so mad at whoever is running the Village. They basically did everything at the last minute, near the end of the quarter. They had about a month and a half to do the lotterly and assign rooms, yet they wait till the last minute which is a major inconvience to students who have other backup housing. Now we only have a day or so to cancel our backup housing or cancel the Village or we'll lose our security deposits.

thank you! yeah, i was wondering how come the dates that i was informed of weren't really happening. i was afraid that i didn't win the lottery or something. i hope there is room and i'm sorry about your situation. i've read a few posts here before about people complaining about the lady in charge of the village.
