![]() | Hi Benji. I think when your gpa gets below 2.0 the first time, you meet with your college advisor. You don't get kicked out until like the third time you get below 2.0. Your college advisor will help you by providing a mentor for undeclared students to help you do time management and organize your schedule. Helps you on your next quarter schedule. On your next quarter, take very easy general ed classes and kinesiology classes. Helps boost up your g.p.a. |

| Cal Poly Guru | You can still attend Cal Poly for 3 quarters with a below 2.0 gpa. Before they kick you out, they will assign you a "study time" or something like that. They make you come and study in a room for 2 hours or something. I don't really know what is the deal after that.

![]() | Welcome to the forums Benji. It can be very stressful when you are not doing great in your classes. I was in the same shoe as you in my first quarter. I was also an undeclared student. I was assigned with a senior student by the undeclared advising center. I met with her once a week and we discussed my weekly schedule and progress. I had to stop by the office and do readings on my own. I was also assigned a personal tutor for math and that really helped my grades to go up. If your g.p.a. is below 2.0 for three weeks in a row, most likely, you will be suspended from Cal Poly Pomona. They usually end up at Mt. Sac community college. Good luck on the winter quarter Benji.

![]() | I failed on my first quarter at Cal Poly. My college advisor and I had a long talk of why I was failing and how I think I can do better. Gave me another chance for the following quarter and I registered two general ed course and 2 kinesiology classes . Great gpa booster class. |
