Transferring out of CPP

Anybody have any information on this matter?
How have the success rates of the past been?
Anybody got into any high-ranked university?

I was interested in transferring to a UC or some other kind of school. I've researched it extensively, and it looks like a pain in the butt to pull off. But I want to transfer out because I want to go to a better school and have more opportunities for things like fun and majors, etc.

then start out with a community college like Pasadena City College, the UC system and the Cal State system are very different, so yeah, it'll be a _____ to transfer from a Cal to a UC...that's why you notice they recommened you take only 12 units when you start as a freshmen...in PCC they ask you to go the full 16, at least that's what i hear from my friend...they have pretty high transfer rates too, their system is much better if you want to transfer out IMO, good luck on w/e you do

Why would you be going to CSU in the first place if your ultimate goal is UC?

Because:
I didn't get in to the UC that I wanted.
Out of all the college and major confusion along with the financial aid problem that I had, CPP was the best choice for me.
It is a highly ranked engineering school.
I was told to go to a *real* university and not be a chip off the ol' block by going to a CC like PCC or GCC. (I agree)
For a few personal reasons.
CPP's ability to offer many engineering-related things.

After all of that, I am guessing that you will think I am interested in Engineering as a major. Yes, I am. I am interested in many other majors. All science and engineering related. Out of those two fields, CPP is only good for the engineering. It is a weak science school.
I am currently a Physics major. Don't know if I will keep it, obviously. Very unsure about my major(s) and future.

Thanks for the replies. =)
