Transferring Out of Cal Poly

Would this work?

Transfer (or drop) out of Cal Poly Pomona with my current credits (units) and attend a communitiy college. Once I have complete all general ed credits have been fulfilled, I apply to another university with both the communitiy college credits and Cal Poly Pomona credits.

ok, how many years do you want to spend as an undergraduate??? Plus, it's reversed logics to go from a university to a cc... come on!!! plus, you can transfer to another university from cal poly if you want without going to a cc.. ok, maybe I'm just biased (okay, very biased against community college... but what you said makes nooo sense

It is possible to even transfer directly to a UC college. I've heard about some students did that by emailing the admission officers in UC[insert campus here]. They worked out a deal and transfered some of the CalPoly credit over to UC. Not all credits were transfered, but it appears the student and UC reached a deal that both parties agreed on.

So it is better to talk to the admission people at the final designated campus first, and hear their policy on transfer students' credit.

I once asked my CS department advisor about the same question, and her reply was to talk directly to the UC people and work out the credit transfer on their side (cal poly has no control over how much credit the other university offers to accept).
