Angry Stafford Loans
Has any received either the subsidized or the unsubsidized one?

Fall quarter's starting..still no check

If you indicated in your FAFSA that you're be interested in student loans, they tell you in the award letter whether you qualify (usually everyone does), and for how much. Then you've an option to accept it or not accept it.

I GOT MY STAFFORD LOAN IN THE MAIL TODAY!!!

now..still waiting for Perkins... anyone got their Perkins yet?

I was at the financial aid office a few days ago, the whole PeopleSoft system was down, and they didn't know at the time when any loan checks were being dispersed (they said they would start dispersing them on 9/20). But look on your loan account, I actually had a problem with my loan being processed correctly, but they finally fixed my problem and my loan check came in the mail today.

Chack the lender to see if there were any delays. I found out mine wasa delayed by the lender because of a clerical mistake.

Perkins loans apparently come a little later than the Stafford loans and are dependent on funding. I heard the financial aid people saying that the Perkins loan, even though some qualify for it, they may not get it if there aren't enough funds.
