![]() | Okay, here is how to calculate your GPA for the quarter. Get each grade you received and multiply it by number of units. The number you get for each class is called your grade points. Do this for each class. Add up all your grade points then divide it by total number of units that you are taking for the quarter. So in your case it would look like this: Class 1 A (4.0) * 4 units = 16.0 grade points Class 2 A (4.0) * 4 units = 16.0 grade points Class 3 B (3.0) * 4 units = 12.0 grade points Class 4 B (3.0) * 4 units = 12.0 grade points Total: 56 grade points 56 grade points 16 units attempted = 3.5 GPA for the quarter I hope this helps. Congrats on a successful quarter and good luck at Cal Poly. |

![]() | It's easy to figure the value for straight A's, B's, etc. It's harder with the + and -. It took me a while to find them a few years ago so I have them pinned to my bulletin board. I'll save you the trouble. A = 4.0 A- = 3.7 B+ = 3.3 B = 3.0 B- = 2.7 C+ = 2.3 C = 2.0 C- = 1.7 D+ = 1.3 D = 1.0 D- = 0.7 F = 0.0 |
