SLO Rec Center passes by 3 to 1 margin

what's wrong with this picture?

at poly north the rec center passes by a 3 to 1 margin. this by the way is the second rec center vote since the mustangs already have a great center on the campus.

at poly south on the other hand the measure goes down by a 2 to 1 margin.

does anybody on the pomona campus get it?

maybe they could learn something from poly north?

like the fact that student fee increases would be HALF?

who hatched this highly unpopular ASI plan and what is being done now?

that tells you how screwed up things are on the pomona campus.

we need to find some leaders who have a clue.

at SLO they get it right. why can't we?

ASI EVoting Please

First off, why didn't Cal Poly Pomona introduce an e-voting system like Cal Poly San Luis Obispo? The voting turnout would've been higher if that was what the ASI Elections cared about.

"More than anything, I wasn't really surprised or taken back by the amount of people who voted yes or no," said Deano. "I was more surprised by the amount that voted."

The ASI Elections Committee along with Reyes Luna, ASI elections advisor, finished totaling the votes Thursday by around 9:15 p.m., according to Scott Deano, ASI elections chair. Deano said the appropriate figureheads and news sources were notified by 10 p.m.

"ASI elections was not concerned about a yes or a no vote, we were concerned about voter turnout," said Deano. "We wanted to fight voter apathy, get students aware of the issues, get students out there voting."
Did you guys notice the proposed tuition increase for Cal Poly SLO is $65 per quarter but Cal Poly Pomona increase was going to be $149 per quarter?

precisely.

ASI might want to consult more with other cal states as well as with other members of the university community to avoid another bonehead vote that cost much and delivered nothing.
