SLO Internet Access

What is a good broadband (not DSL) provider in the area? I am moving into my apartment in a couple weeks and I want the cable guy there the day after I arrive.

It will be bad enough a week without the internet driving a moving van to SLO from Detroit, I don't want to have to go a second or third week as well.

Charter (cable) is the only other broadband ISP up at SLO (besides SBC) that I know of, but from what I've heard, they don't seem to be as reliable.
