![]() | Scouting San Francisco State just when i made note of the fact that our struggling men open the season with the conference patsy comes the revelation that the gators already have beaten DI CSUB on the road, played beach tough at the pyramid, and have two regular season wins as well. they're one of only two undefeated league teams. yipes! this conference opener could be much tougher than first thought. i only hope coach k. can somehow awaken the troops before it's too late. i took a look at irvine on TV today. they were whipped by mississippi state at ACC to an almost empty arena. imagine home uniforms that say "EATERS" on them. |

![]() | i am concerned that the broncos have had so little game experience, and that leads to turnovers. this is what ate our lunch at the thunderdome, and by the way UCSB just beat UNLV there last night. we seem to have enough talent but still little team cohesion. and we must sweep this weekend's games or that second spot in conference is likely gone. this appears to be the toughest league top to bottom i've seen with no weak teams left. btw according to the national computer rankings the coyotes are the second ranked DII in the nation, and we are 48th. |

![]() | Please allow me to introduce myself... CPP Hall of Fame is Back! Guys, what is going on? Are you ready for another thrilling season? Well as you know the home opener is tonight and Im pretty sure the teams and coaches are ready to get it going tonight. The mens team is off to a slow start and this weekends games are NOT easy at all. My prediction for the weekend: They will struggle this weekend in both games. I expect a split this weekend. Both games are toss ups. Coach K is the greatest coach in the CCAA but he cant play for the team. The team has to get it together and start playing. Daniels - needs to step up big time for the team this season and finish his career of right. We need to see close to a double double every night and be a presence down low. Larry Gordon - no comment. Mr double double at his best! Angelo - Needs to be smarter on offense and is turnover prone. Donnelle - Needs to be active around the basket and please make the free throws when he gets fouled.. Kevin N- Play solid and injury free. Tobi - Get more physical and be a shot blocking presence down low. Rich Collins- Be a steady Steve Blake PG on the court. Direct the team when they get out of hand out there. Isaac - Be a consistent scorer off the bench. Positives - Coach K is the coach! What a mastermind! Negatives - No bench scoring whatsoever. Still looking for a leader on the court. Last comments for 07-08 - Coach K has never had a losing season and I dont plan on this one too be. He has his work cut out for him this year, but the team will definitely get it together by mid season. We have to be patient this year supporters. Its not going to be like seasons in the past. Lets just keep supporting the broncos! Go Broncos! -Hall |

as stated prior, i am very concerned that we begin league play with only two scrimmages and two games, one with an NAIA also-ran and the other one a good DI mid-major while most other teams like SF and SB have played six and seven games already. our lack of playing time i fear will hurt us, but as we all know nobody wants to play in kellogg gym anymore when most DIII facilities are better--and the university only gives athletics table crumbs and expects coaches to win titles. one scribe noted last year that coach k. does more with less than anybody in the CCAA, and that's true. but he's not a magician, and unless angelo plays like he should, donelle learns to shoot a free throw like most of us could before we were ten, and we start spelling T-E-A-M this could be a very long and mediocre season. am off to kellogg gym to cheer for the green and gold--and to watch lakdod boo the president. it's good to see some school spirit about academics here, too. | |
