Building 4 should be the red bricked building behind the letters and arts building. My guess is that 1-646 is room 646 of level 1.

Walk up towards the agriculture building (uphill) and it is the red brick color building. The facility appears fairly new. Wonder around the first floor and you should find the 600 corridor.

Maybe the sequence is based on the order in which the buildings were built.

It is pretty wacko. for sure. 4 and 5 are next to eachother... But that's about all.

good try steven, but one of the newest bldg is that engr lab across the street from the older row of those 8-10 dormie bldgs and that's bldg 17. and the cla bldg is bldg 98. if we follow this scheme then all the newbees would be in the 100s.

some geek on campus must have nothing else to do but decide numbers. i got one number off for a class one time and discovered i was going to a pig barn!

Buildings in another campuses go by name if I recall correctly. And our campus go by #.
How about San Luis Obispo?

bldg 6 is next to 94 and across from 9. that should explain things fully. 6 is the biz bldg built for a college of about 700 students. we now have 4,500 with the same 60 year old bldg. them's progress, folks. put the biggest college in the smallest bldg. no clue about 7, no bells. i think slo has numbers, too, but how can it be crazier than pomona? yeah, most schools have grant hall and lincoln hall and grey davis hall and that stuff. hey, maybe we can move college of biz to the new parking skyscraper...it will be a bigger bldg!!!!

Police station is #91, one 1 away from being an emergency service.

And Steven is right on the numbering. Building 4 uses an extra number to indicate floor.
