Registered on a course w/o completing the prerequisite

If you are registered for a summer class and you found out that you did not pass one of the prerequisite class in spring quarter, is it our responsibility to drop the current course or does the admissions drop it for you?

What happens if you do not drop the class and pass the class for that quarter? Do you still get the credit although you do not have the credit for the prerequisite or did you waiste 4 units for nothing?

I am pretty sure they will drop you if they caught you, if not then you should be able to get the credit.

Sup Keng, how likely are they going to find out?
And does the admission usually drop you within the registration period or can they drop you whenever they find out (let's say the 9th week)? I don't want to take the risk.

They usually drop you on the first day of class. I believe the department checks for this kind of stuff. The professor will go over roll then talk to some people that didn't meet the prereq requirements, like if there was any mistakes by the department, transcript didn't come in, etc.

What if the student is shown as enrolled under the online Bronco Direct schedule, even if he/she did not pass the prerequisite course with a C grade?

Talk to your professor, I took a class without a C grade, and the professor let me stay in the class, maybe cuz i got a C- and he said it was cool.

I think it depends on the class and how closely related it is to your major. I remember one of my professors saying D+ in Marketing is considered passing for FRL majors... or something like that.
