I like the quarter system and prefer it over the semester schedule.
Have a great spring break everyone.

I like the quarter system as well. It goes by really quick. This can be good or bad. Good because if you have a class or professor that you do not like, then you only have ten weeks to deal with the class or professor and then your done. The bad thing though is that you must keep up with all of your classes. If you fall behind then it could hurt you. My advice is to do well in the quarter system you must keep up with the reading. Believe me the book helps major time even if the professor is good or bad. Find an advisor and keep in touch with him or her. I guess the last thing would be to get a tutor if you need to. I suggest that you get a tutor in STA 120 because it can be a little complicated at times. The most important advice I can give you is to do well during your first year at Cal Poly Pomona because if you don't then you will have a difficult time getting back up to speed. Good luck and hope to see you around.

Quarter system is WONDERFUL. I get bored easily, so only having to put up with a class for eleven weeks is absolutely perfect.

Yes, it is challenging. You HAVE to stay on top of your assignments, so dont party too hard. But it is definitely do-able.

The only downside to quarters that I see is when I actually LIKE a class, it is over too soon. But I can get over that pretty easily. I also like that we start really late in September, so when everyone else is back at school, we get to relax a little longer. And we dont get out too late in June!

Have a good time on your campus tour. Let us know what you think of CPP!
