Poll: Towards a Residental Campus

Does anyone think that we need new residence halls as well? Those things look like they were built on a very tight budget...

YES

Cal Poly seriously needs to reduce its "commuter" feel.

Voted yes.

But very unlikely to happen.
Cal Poly Pomona will not be receiving abundant funds for further expansion. Although the California budget is in near crisis, Cal Poly Pomona managed to come up with renovation of our campus library.

Having new residence hall is a huge step to convert many commuting students to stick around on campus.

The reason that the library expansion is going to happen is because the plan and the money to fund it were approved before the big budget crisis.

But you are right, I'm not expect any large-scale building projects within the next decade...especially now with Governor Schwarzenegger proposing a 23.8 million dollar budget cutback for the California State University, on top of the 304 million already cut from the CSU budget.

Cheers!

There are a lot of students that want to live on campus but having some difficulty finding an apartment.
Living in the campus dorm is not an option because he doesn't want the meal plan. But the meal plan is not an option.
Can't wait to see the renovation of the campus library.

Isn't Cal Poly Pomona good as it is?
Or are you saying that having a new residential hall will bring more interaction?
And the new library building will help in all ways. Need more computer workstations around campus.
