![]() | It was a good game at San Diego last night. Neither team had a lead bigger than 6 until The Broncos went on a big run at the end of the game. The reaction of San Diego baseball team after I told them to start their cars and leave when the game was in hand was classic. They used a couple of excused which made me laugh. The sad thing I will not be able to attend Fridays game against Bakersfield because I will be at the Lakers game. This will be the first big home game that I will miss since coming here. Hopefully after I get home from the Lakers game I see that the Broncos with a victory and a new attendace record. Jay no comment in a while glad to see you making a post again. Its funny that not many people are posting about the team after the new year. |

![]() | i agree, lakdod, that the buzz has quieted. five or six loyal fans like us can only carry the ball so far. the athletic department is in the process of hiring a full time marketing person who will have much more time to invest in promoting these big games. thanks to all for the chat on welcome back the pack night. i notice that this post has 1,364 hits--far more than almost any other one all year. i only hope that these three or four days will produce a huge groundswell for pack the gym night. the event marketing class led by dr. roxas is working on it, so let's hope that helps get out a huge crowd. the teams deserve it. michelle inherited a team she didn't recruit and is working hard with the ladies, and coach k. is once again at the top of the standings against what is probably the toughest DII league in the nation. and remember bakersfield is now a DI team. get ready for another war, fans. |

![]() | Broncos 11th and 24th in two national polls the computer poll has us 11th with the coyotes 9th and the lumberjacks 13th. this conference race could easily go down to the last game and it could end in a three or even four way tie. the coaches poll ranks the broncos 24th, but that was before our huge road sweep. am not sure but this may be the week that the first regional rankings are released. the GNAC sucks this year with no real big threats, so only BYU from the pac west remains out of conference with a great record now. |

![]() | I have been wating for the first regional rankings to come out hopefully it come out this week because I want to see our chances of hosting regionals which I think is really good this year. I think the Broncos at worse will be ranked 3rd in the region, but mostly likey 2nd behind San Bernardino if the ranking came out this week because San Bernardion lost to Div 1 school during their regular season play. |

![]() | Pomona hosting the regionals.. that would be nice. Anyone notice that Larry Gordon have been playing really well lately, i really think he'll grown into a more polish all-round player. He's not that afraid of going inside as much as he did in the beginning of the season and his jumper is more fluid. Like most posters here said, we are in a tough conference and so far, we been doing pretty good even though we did lost a few close ones |

![]() | Larry is playing some good basketball this year. I think Jay, xiaoxue, and me talk about it last year what if Larry got more playing time last season would the Broncos made the tournament, but we will never know. He has always been a good rebounder, and this year he has improved his outside shot which had led to his improved scoring this year. |

![]() | Broncos pass Coyotes, 15th in today's coaches poll 15. BRONCOS 11-3 16. Coyotes 11-3 19. Lumberjacks 12-3 The regional rankings are due out tomorrow, and those are huge for seedings into the dance. No reason why we shouldn't be seeded FIRST in the West. if so, the dance will begin in Kellogg Gym! |

![]() | bronco mid season report 2 loses against bad team hurt but 2 tough road wins has healed the wound. midseason report: Larry Gordon: he has chance to play beyond cal poly, nbdl cba, has become more agressive offensively but his strength has been rebounding and defense. while not a "freak athlete" has enough to play pro ball.needs to add weight. basketball iq very high. doesnt force anything. The 3 big man:Kalen kevin kyle: not enough touches we have the best group in the entire d2. kyle has alot of moves, a bit slow. kalen just a monster sometimes dont play d. kevin much improved from last year. next year all 3 come back. also the big german kid. tall. you can not teach height. The Best Athlete on the team: booker, this kids got hops. needs to work on his jumper. the guards:luis slow but has played well. billy shooting well. neon deon ugly looking shot but it goes in. coach k: master recruiter, coach we need guards for next year. juco pg. somone with quicks. |

![]() | great analysis, chris. you know your hoops. to answer your question, have you seen rashad bias play in practice? he is the real deal and a true point guard. he easily could be the starting PG next year as a RS freshman. totally agree, booker is a tremendous athlete. if he can add some muscle he will be even more of a force, and larry's game has been huge. he could even AVERAGE a double double by season's end. sure hope we really do pack the place against bakersfield. it probably will be their last game ever at kellogg gym, for by the time we go DI we will have a new arena built. |

![]() | Broncos SECOND in first regional poll even though the broncos whupped the top ranked coyotes those upset losses cost them the top seed in the NCAA regional rankings. they are number two even though higher ranked in the national poll. and the records are wrong. 1. COYOTES 11-2 (ACTUALLY 11-3) 2. BRONCOS 10-3 (ACTUALLY 11-3) 3. SEATTLE PACIFIC 9-6 4. HUMBOLDT 10-3 (ACTUALLY 12-3) 5. UAA 6. SEATTLE 7. BYU (IN SPITE OF A 13-5 RECORD) 8. CHAMINADE SONOMA IS NOT IN TOP TEN EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE ON A TEAR. THIS SNUB WILL MOTIVATE THEM MORE. |

![]() | I think ranking are a bit off because they do not count games against non div II teams that is just my idea. That means they do not count are win against Vanguard and do not count the loss of San Bernardino to ASU. Jay Sonoma has a .500 record right now they do not deserve to be ranked in the top ten yet. Eventhough there record is .500 they are the hottest team in the conference. If they continue to win Sonoma will get into the top ten. We all know these ranking mean jack right now. All I got to say in the next five games we will see who are the contenders for the #1 ranking. |

![]() | rashad bias hey jay thanks man! (Questions for jay) their might not be a lot of "diehard" bronco fan but atleast there is on this board. jay so you've seen rashad in pratice? his dad told me he is a defensive stopper. usually pg in ccaa are slow, so he will shut down half of the guys in our league. is he redshirting? also the german kid have you seen him in pratice? i've seen him walk around before the game seems very tall a full 6-9 6-10 not listed 6-9 but really 6-7. also I hope donelle know that he really does have mad skills but needs to show dedication in the weight room. he is too thin. his athletisim is d1 but just too thin right now. also he seems like he has some "attitude" I love how he not only rebounds but takes the ball and dunks it home. |

![]() | on the Bronco roster chris, yeah, rashad is redshirting. coach k. is gambling that luis and billy won't go down with injuries, though remember both of them AND dion are seniors. that makes our guard slot very shaky next year and could signal his looking either for a DI bounceback (like that beast ivan johnson) or a juco star with discipline. he was recruited by DI schools so he is the real deal. on tobias, he's tall but like donelle undersized. both of them need to go on a serious weight program in the offseason. booker has the promise of being another larry gordon given his athleticism. the german kid plays the european style and is not a banger but more of a big finesse player. totally agree...our bigs are improving. kevin's post skills are light years ahead of last year, and baby shaq has developed a sweet shooter's touch. i am concerned about our depth. when billy went down so did the team. we need to play injury free for the home stretch. losing melvyn could be a deal breaker if we have a major injury and could cost us in the dance. j |

![]() | this weekend must become a huge CONFIDENCE BUILDER for this team. not only do we need a sweep it must be a decisive one. why? because then we have the road trip from hell...at san bern, at humboldt, at sonoma. we might win only one of those and possibly none. if we win twice we are the real deal. |
