| Active Member | Orientation and Poly Nights? ...O.K. I'm forced to give up two days of my life on Aug 16th and 17th does anyone else share my misfortune? So first question is should I sign up for Poly Nights? Oh yea the brochure says it’s a blast but I’m reluctant to believe that. Second question is to find out who else is going to this thing. This is the LAST orientation of the summer I’m not sure if that means its going to be packed or I’m going to the only one there (I’m hoping for the first is true) Third question… What is up with the free T-Shirt thing for ONLY freshmen, is that so the upperclassmen know who to throw eggs at? ![]() Fourth question What do these T-shirts say, and do I want to know? Fifth question after reading this post... On a scale from 1 to 10 how needy to I sound?! 10 being the most needy 1 being the least needy |

![]() | I rate this thread a fat 9 (NEEDY). ![]() Ahhh~, I remember going to the Poly Night. It was long, long time ago. Basically, it is an orientation where you and bunch of newbies go on a campus tour, learn about the college life off and on campus, eat dorm food and sleep in the dorm for one night (your choice and will cost extra), participate in activities, and register classes for the fall quarter. Hope you enjoy.

![]() | lol i just went to the orientation 2 weeks ago. i didnt attend to poly night so sry i cant answere if its fun or not. and as for the shirt. they use it as a pass for going into orientation. so u have to wear it for both days. i suggest getting a larger shirt when they ask for your size because i usually just wear it over the t shirt i bring. and it just says calpoly on ur left chest and on back says 04. and dont skip any days lol cause second day is just as important as first day. since they will tell u all about ur major and suggest what class should you take. it was very usfull to me ^_^ |

The only thing that orientation was worth was the "privilege" for your registration and maybe that you receive your intranet account info as well as the catalog. Orientation my rear-end. One ASI dude said during orientation "i dont want to do anything, you can do anything but dont leave the classroom". I was very dissappointed cause I had to drive 4 hours to get here. For the poly night, I didnt went, cause i had to go home to do some errands, that means I drove twice to pomona.

![]() | There really is nothing to lose for attending the orientation & poly nights, besides your money and time. It will be a great experience and will go by real fast. Enjoy.
