I really think the students should vote yes as well. Its not the best solution but its a step in the right direction. In time the rest will follow. If the students dont get the new rec center that would be something else that cpp doesnt have that other schools have. But a new gym and outdoor "stadium" are in order at some point.

I know it look like a step in the right direction but it is not. If it anything like the rec center in San bernardino I think it is a dumb idea. I mean when I went there for the game this season it look like it was small and not many people were using it. this is just a propganda by csu system. I mean eventually we will get one, but do we need it now. I say no. Why waste the money on the rec center when we can improve in different area of the campus.

I wonder if the university will proceed with the new rec center even if the majority of the student votes were no.

Back a few years ago when the Bronco Student Center was in the planning process, did it ever go through a similar voting as the new rec center? I don't remember voting for the proposed Bronco Student Center yet all students had to pay an increase in the ASI fees (or some other fees) quarterly when the construction completed.

Get your votes in.

i was a student then. it sucked. students never get a voice.

instead, it gets jammed down our throats.

this plan is worse than the last one. look at the votes online.

Majority of students voted No on the new Rec Center referendum. Maybe ASI should go back to the drawing board and give us a better alternative such as a new building that would include our Athletics

yeah, buddy.

it was voted down almost 2 to 1.

maybe next time the handful of few ASI gurus might just read this board once in a while and listen more.

Hall. I am on your side. I agree with you but one step at a time. The school needs improvements and the rec center was one. And I would hope a new gym would be next then the stadium. Sorry to upset you.
