![]() | I agree Humbolt is the best team on paper in the conference. Then the battle for second will be Sonoma, CSUSB, and us. Jay you can add another note to CSUSB they got a DI transfer from Oregon who average 7.5pts per game of the bench. This should help the big man game for CSUSB. As of right now not seeing or hearing any news from the other teams i would rank. 1. Humbolt 2. Cal Poly Pomona 2. Sonoma St. 4 Cal State San Bernardino 5 Cal State Bakersfield 6. UCSD 7. Chico St. 8. Stanislaus 9. Cal StateDominguez Hills 10. Cal state LA 11. Monteray Bay 12. San Francisco State |

![]() | i'll go you one more. here are my predicted final standings with records: 1. HUMBOLDT STATE 19-3, 23-4...way too much depth and experience and huge home court edge will allow Jacks to steal a game or two. 2.(tie) CAL POLY POMONA 17-5, 21-6...gordon and cook have a monster years but too many road losses to challenge for title. 2.(tie) CAL STATE SAN BERNARDINO 17-5, 20-7...fueled by DI bouncebacks and juco transfers but saddled by brutal early season schedule that begins in Tempe. 4. SONOMA STATE 16-6, 20-7...may have best player in conference but too many losses to graduation and injury to keep pace with leaders. 5.(tie) UC SAN DIEGO 13-9, 16-11...scrappy play and great coaching keep Tritons dangerous all year. 5. (tie) CAL STATE BAKERSFIELD 13-9, 14-13...too much talent held back for first year of DI in 2007-08, toughest nonconference schedule of anybody in league. No home games until january. 7. (tie) CHICO STATE 10-12, 13-14...thin on talent particularly in post but always tough at Acker Gym. 7. (tie) CAL STATE DOMINGUEZ HILLS 10-12, 13-14...very athletic team getting more disciplined through outstanding coaching. will surprise. 9. CAL STATE MONTEREY BAY 8-14, 10-17...still trying to break out of DIII resourcing but beginning to make a move with better talent. Kelp Bed a cozy home court. 10. CAL STATE STANISLAUS 5-17, 6-21...perennial loser in recruiting wars, buoyed only via a couple of upsets recorded at Warrior Gym. 11. CAL STATE LOS ANGELES 3-19, 4-23...a team strong on athleticisim, weak on defense and discipline. 12. SAN FRANCISCO STATE 1-21, 2-25...a program absurdly underfunded and outcoached. NCAA PLAYOFFS: Humboldt seeded second, Pomona fourth, San Bernardino fifth, Sonoma seventh. Humboldt and Pomona defeat CCAA rivals in first round, advance to regional finals where World War III begins similar to their 2004 regional showdown at CSUSB. Stay tuned for updates as season progresses. |
