MonsterTRAK's Resume Upload System (Email)

Dear Cal Poly Students,

This is a message regarding MonsterTRAK's resume upload system. As you know, through MonsterTRAK and our partnership with Real Resume, you are able to upload your fully formatted resume in nearly 40 file types, including PDF. We have discovered that certain PDF resumes, those utilizing the security features in Adobe or those sent through multiple converter tools, do not upload properly in the Real Resume system. Keep in mind that this affects less than 1% of all PDF resumes uploaded. The extra security added by the user when converting a file into PDF, simply makes it so that the resume cannot be uploaded correctly into the system.

Due to this issue, as of March 11th, we will no longer be accepting resumes converted into PDFs, with security turned on. To ensure that your resume is not seen improperly, all resumes uploaded in this type will be automatically removed from downloads by employers and career centers.

In order to insure your PDF resume is received and successfully downloaded by employers and Career Centers, please follow these guidelines:
Please turn off all security setting from Adobe Acrobat Reader

- Please limit the number of software converters used to create a PDF resume to 1 converter
