This is close to the Downtown L.A. area. The HR Rep. would handle all of the HR functions, which include; staffing, benefits, employee relations, Workers Compensation and liability insurance. ![]() | MHR students, We have been approached by Countrywide Home Loans for this internship position. If you are interested in this intern position please send your resume to Dr. Stan Abraham at scabraham@csupomona. edu. He will screen the applications and forward the best applications to Countrywide Home Loans. Shanthi Srinivas, Ph.D. Professor and Chair Management & Human Resources Department College of Business California State Polytechnic University 3801 W. Temple Ave. Pomona, CA 91768 Phone 909.869.2412 FAX 909.869.4969 ssrinivas@csupomona. edu Here is a description of what the company needs for this internship position - I'm writing to you today in hopes that you may be able to suggest one or more students who could be candidates for an intern position in the strategic planning http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=24&k=str ategic%20 planning department of the home equity division of Countrywide Home Loans. Here are the particulars: * The position is an internship that quite probably will morph into a full-time strategic planning position with Countrywide. * Responsibilities will include research on a variety of internal and external environmental factors in support of the development of our Environmental Scan & Organizational Assessment. This used to be an annual document, but we are in the process of developing it into a virtual document. The intern would assist in those efforts, as well as with the preparation for our quarterly senior management strategic planning offsites. * The position has been approved as a full-time summer position (June/July/August), although I am open to restructuring the position as a part-time position stretching over a longer term if I find a good candidate who wishes to have a work experience while attending school and doesn't plan to take the summer off. * At present, we do not have a program to offer school credit, so this would be a paid position; I am still finalizing the hourly compensation for the position, but I'm guessing it will be in the $15/hour range. * The position will be located at 35 North Lake Avenue in Pasadena, in the Full Spectrum Lending building. Full Spectrum is the home equity division of Countrywide Home Loans, the largest mortgage originator in America. We offer both prime and subprime credit, and therefore serve a broad range of borrowers nationwide. * The position will report to me. I head the strategic planning and management function for the division. I'm looking for an undergraduate junior or senior majoring in strategic management or strategy, or an MBA student. My preference is that this intern will be someone intending to pursue a career in strategic planning or strategic management, as I see this position as the entry level in that career. I would like to conduct interviews during February, and to make a decision by the end of the month. If the successful candidate wishes to work over the summer, I see the start date as on or about June 1. If they wish to work part-time while going to school, I would foresee a start date in the March 15-April 1 range. |

![]() | MHR Students, Starting in Spring 2005, students who wish to register for the internship, should register through BroncoDirect just like they would for any other class. You do not need any special permission numbers - simply register as you would for any other class. After you register for the class, make sure that you complete the preapproval form that can be obtained from the MHR office or downloaded from the MHR website. Submit your completed form to the MHR office. If your internship is not approved you will be dropped from the class. You must complete the form prior to the first class meeting in Spring 2005. Remember that if you are working approximately 20 hours a week in your internship position, you are eligible to register for MHR 441. If you work approximately 40 hours per week, you are eligible to register for MHR 442. Dr. Srinivas |

![]() | Greetings! The next five years will bring a lot of excitement to the distribution pyramid as well as Target Corporation as a whole. Target is really growing as a company and has plans to expand to 2010 stores by the year 2010. We currently have approximately 1,313 stores. On February 16, 2005 the Fontana Distribution Center will be hosting an On Site College Recruiting Event at the Los Angeles Regional Distribution Center located in Fontana, CA. During this time students will receive a tour of the building, hear from some of our college graduates, and participate in some on site interviews.
