![]() | Hello, I will be a new student to Cal Poly Pomona this fall, and I didn't notice a karate club. Does anyone have any information or would like to start a club? (I am a 3rd kyu in shotokan karate.) Thanks, L Wong |

![]() | on the schedule of classes, it had two different sections: beginner and advanced karate. I don't know if it's still split apart or combined as just a regular karate class. i think aikido became combined into one class. sometimes, the teacher works at other schools, so it may be hard to contact them..ehe |

![]() | Find an KIN instructor (or non KIN instructor) that is willing to start a Tae Kwon Do club. I don't think it would cost much or any money to start a campus club. Actually, you might not require a Cal Poly instructor in order to start an organization. Should check out the OSL Office of Student Life office for more info on starting a campus charter. Let me know who is really interested.

![]() | Please reply in this thread if you are enjoy in any of the following: Martial Arts Karate Tae Kwon Do The problem in forming a campus club is that the three art is very different and the students might like one but not the other. And a club usually focuses on one thing and 3 is like out of range. What do you guys think? |

| Newcomer | I would be interested in joining a karate club yet I have not practiced for many years. My father used to be a sensei of Shito-Ryu and taught me when I was a child. Now that I am moving to Cal Poly I think that I want to resume my studies in Shito-Ryu. Besides as a club activity would anyone know if any Dojos in the area which might teach Shito-Ryu? |
