September 23rd and the beginning of a new academic year is just around the corner. First and foremost-welcome back!

There has been a lot of discussion in the media about the budget challenges faced by the state and the CSU system. I want to let you know that our faculty and staff have worked hard over the summer planning for this next academic year. Classes have been scheduled to meet your needs and your advisors and departmental staff are ready to finalize a schedule to keep you on target for graduating. We are committed to your success, and you will find many new services available to support your education. As just one example, you now have a new way to register for classes and pay fees online through BroncoDirect. Don't hesitate to contact us if you need help in completing the registration process.

Another change that is important for you to be aware of is how we will be communicating with you beginning this academic year. E-mail will now be the primary way in which Cal Poly Pomona notifies students on virtually every topic, including registration, general information, fees and deadlines. You have been provided a campus e-mail account and your e-mail address is available at your Student Home Page at BroncoDirect.
