![]() | ISACA Los Angeles Event From an email I received - ISACA LA is looking for student volunteers for the Spring Conference. This is an excellent opportunity for them to attend a professional conference for free and to network with working professionals. The dates are April 10 - 13. More information can be found on the website at: www.isacala.org To be more specific, we are looking for primarily students who can volunteer all, if not, most of the 3 days (April 11 - 13). I will ultimately be choosing approximately 6-10 students in aggregate from different schools to help with the event. Volunteers will be granted free admission and the network opportunities are tremendous. The members attending this event are employed from most of the big companies and firms within the Los Angeles vicinity. However, members across the nation also participate in this event. We will send more details once we choose the students, but the students will generally help prepare for the presentations, assist the presenters, and support the overall venue. More information can be found on the website at: www.isacala.org <http://www.isacala.org>. If you do happen to send an e-mail out, cc me on the list so I have a general idea of the potential participants. Have the students contact myself directly at sshar@kpmg.com or (213)533-3385 with their availability during those 3 days. The deadline to apply is March 17. |

![]() | FYI: What is ISACA? The Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) is the only worldwide organization which provides up-to-date information for professionals in the converging disciplines of auditing, data processing, accounting, data security and quality assurance. ISACA knows how essential professional networking, standards, research, certification, continuing education and publications are in establishing and building professions. That's why both the not-for-profit research and funding arm of the organization (Information System Audit & Control Foundation--ISACF) and the member services arm of ISACA are devoted to nurturing and directing the changing environment of professionals involved with the audit and control of computer based systems. <http://www.isacala.org/chapter.html> |
