homeless for 2nd 5 week quarter at cal poly

Hey all,
I'm going to be attending Cal Poly for the second summer session and don't know where to live!
I think it will be extremely difficult finding somone willing to rent a room for only five weeks. Since I'm not from the area I thought someone might help me out with some advice...
I applied to live at Stenner Glen come fall so housing then should not be a problem. What should I do?????

There are two five week sessions and one ten week session.
Originally I was planning on attending the ten week session but after looking at the summer schedule they are barely offering any classes for ten weeks!
I called the admissions office and they said you can attend whatever combination of sessions you want as long as you get one class over with.
So as I see it I might as well enjoy five extra weeks of summer before going to school....

I'm assuming she's going to SLO since she mentioned stenner glen. The dorms are open to freshmen if they start in the summer. I'm not sure how the 5-week thing would work, though. You may have to pay for a month of not being there. You can also check out the off-campus housing listings on the cal poly website. Anyhow, call up housing regarding the dorms, and check out the site.

Since we're on the topic, anyone here know approximately when Stenner Glen usually gets filled up?

I am sending in my payments tomorrow, most definitely via priority mail.

Yes and two days later I received a spot on reserve.
SG can fill up at any time, and they will notify on their web site when all spots are filled, which means send the payments and documents ASAP.

By the way, as of Friday, May 13th, all "male" spots at SG have been filled up. There are some other alternatives, however - just check through the housing application (via the Cal Poly portal).
