Good FRL300/301 Teachers?

Does anyone know which teacher to recommend taking for FRL 300 or FRL 301? Thanks.

I took heard that Barro was good, but you have alot of hw. I personally took Yanaga for FRL 301 and Liang for FRL 300. I didn't learn anything from Liang, horrible teacher, but passed the class. As for Yanaga, he is a great professor really willing to help you out with anything, makes you think a lil to find the answer before fully telling you.

FRL 300 - Sarmas is good. A little hard, but good... he at least makes an attempt to teach. Not sure if he teaches 301 though.

FRL 301 - DO NOT take Abdel Rahman. The guy is not at all interested in teaching, has no respect for his students, runs through chapters in minutes using the PowerPoint slides.

Good luck.

Definitely take Dr. Paul Sarmas, he is great. if you want an easier road, i heard taking Carney for frl300 and 301 is the way to go b/c he repeats a lot of the same type of material.

Avoid CARNEY
I don't know if this guys still teaches at CalPoly but do not take him for any finance class. Avoid avoid or you will fail. He says it himself at the first class meeting. "Most of you will fail this class" Talk about making you feel welcome!

I took Abdel Rahman for FRL301 last quarter. He is a little hard to understand because of his accent and sometimes pretty straight forward. He gave us a biggggggggg long lecture one time 'cuz we did so bad on our tests, but he gave us second chance (twice) by dropping our lowest midterm grade and our lowest quiz. But he swore he won't give that opportunity again because someone abused it. But from his actions, he wanted the students to pass so i thought he was pretty caring. WEll that's my opinion.

Liang and Sarmas the best

I had Abdul Rahman and almost died. Retook with Liang and she was great.
The other star is Sarmas. Have heard to avoid Carney too.
