![]() | Fun things to do at Cal Poly Pomona What are the most fun things to do at CPP? I heard the residence halls that have the computer theme have LAN parties almost all the time (that's the kind of thing I am interested in). Joining some clubs is probably fun, as I heard. What else is there? |

The closes you are going to get is a few people playing CS or system link with Halo 2. There's nothing fun on this campus. You can make your own fun I guess. Try kicking a duck or start hitting the rose bushes with a bat. |

![]() | I like to study, but only when I am at school. I only like to study if I have to and if it's a subject I like. I am sure I am going to be looking to have some fun at least 1/10th of my day at the school. How can I find the people playing CS or Halo 2? I'd like to play video/computer games with some people on campus. Is there a club for it? I will probably join some clubs just for the heck of it so I can meet some people and chill. Nate, I thought your post was hilarious haha. All of that is restricted but it would be hilarious, sadly, to see some of those things lol. |

There's your little lan party consisting people in your hall. The only chat room I can think of is the DC hub (file sharing hub) that is set up on campus in the dorms. You'll learn more about it when you move in. |

![]() | Finally!!! Alright, this message is directed towards you, Nate. I have a friend at UCB who told me about the whole hub thing that UCB has. I already have DC++. The only thing left is that I need the adress and port, I think. How many people are in there on average? Anybody get caught throughout the year? Find anything you're looking for or is CPP's hub scarce of stuff? |

![]() | Yeah, I kinda thought that would be the restriction to the hub use. My friend at UCB said that the same thing goes on throughout the school year. But for some reason, the UCB hub is open to all during the summer. Whatever. Could you give me the hostname and port or whatever I need for the hub? I am probably going to be using it to talk to the people there and dl stuff, I guess. I didn't know CPP had an arcade room (probably because I am barely going to start in the Fall =P ). Where is it located? I bet I could find some people to play games with, lol...seems like the only thing to do at CPP other than join clubs...and the regular school stuff heh. |
