![]() | if you want to write a check for about ten million a year then we can have a football team. you might note that scholarship football in so cal is limited to the big boys only. our cal poly north friends have football though. it's mid major. as i recall their biggest game this year is san jose state. |

![]() | They kind of represent both schools because if you look on ESPN and Foxsports there are known as Cal Poly. As for Football Jay is right there is no way we restart Pomona's Football team unless we get a 10 million dollar donation. Oh well at least Pomona have a good men's basketball team to root for. Jay have you heard any news about the mens basketball team and Bakersfield possible moving up to Div 1. |

as for roundball, we open the season at pauley pavilion as a program first. we also play at gerston arena over on the LMU campus but won't get the shot to premiere the galen center at USC. but we will play the trojans this year too. in league play watch out for humboldt state. they return everybody back from a tournament team. we expect to be better this year given that the only impact player we lost was jonathon boyd and bring back plenty. let's make another tournament run, huh? | |

![]() | it gets much tougher for mustangs now sac state this weekend, and they can beat the hornets. but then don't plan for much up at san jose state. coach tomey has the spartans thinking a winning season and a bowl this year after almost whupping washington and then upsetting stanford. but at least we can root for other cal state schools. and san diego state plays at san jose state as does fresno state. those are the three best football programs in the cal state system. |

![]() | I heard that Cal Poly Pomona did have a football team back in the early 80s but due to budget cuts... we got screw. Do you guys believe in any chance of getting a football team back in Cal Poly Pomona in the near future? There has been an increase of student enrollment for the past several years. More and more students are living on campus which really shows that CPP is making good progress in attracting students to the university. |
